Leading motivations of tourists from Thailand to visit Japan 2023

According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2023, for close to 89 percent of tourists from Thailand eating Japanese food was one of the main motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by shopping, which was mentioned by almost 70 percent of respondents.
