Data were collected on the actual noise environment through a physical noise monitoring program. The social survey questionnaire collected data on annoyance with traffic noise, evaluation of neighbourhood environment, sensitivity to noise, monetary evaluation of noise nuisance, basic demographic data, home heating practices, and the use of private and public transportation.
