Transcriptomic responses of atlantid heteropods to past, present and future pH show that juveniles are more sensitive to acidification than adults.

Here we investigated the transcriptome and the impact of short-term pH exposure on the gene expression of adults of the shelled heteropod Atlanta ariejansseni. Individuals were sampled in the Southern Subtropical Convergence Zone (Atlantic Ocean) and exposed to past (~1960s), present and future (~2050s) pH conditions.
