资源简介:
This dataset contains the results of a survey administered to 56 dentists graduating from
UNPHU, the objective of which was to analyze their ethical perspective on elective cosmetic
dental treatments. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire, assessing their level of
awareness of the code of ethics, the clinical indications considered by professionals, and their
understanding of the legal implications.
The findings show that 78.57% were familiar with the dental code of ethics, and 67.86%
considered oral health alongside aesthetics when prescribing treatments such as veneers and
whitening. 98.21% assessed clinical contraindications before performing dental veneers.
76.79% reported awareness of legal sanctions for ethical noncompliance.
The data were collected between January and April 2025. The research is cross-sectional,
quantitative, and descriptive. This set of data can serve as a basis for future research on
bioethics in dentistry, ethics education, and regulations on aesthetic treatments in oral health.
