Mode of Delivery Predicts Postpartum Maternal Leukocyte Telomere Length

This study investigates differences in postpartum maternal leukocyte telomere length (LTL) based on the mode of delivery (vaginal vs. cesarean). It evaluates maternal LTL using quantitative PCR in blood samples taken from participants postpartum (week 1 up to six months postpartum). Additionally, it applies machine-learning methods to assess whether other biologic changes related to stress and inflammation occurred following cesarean deliveries by analyzing transcriptomics, metabolomics, microbiomics, immunomics, and proteomics data.
