Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the CROCUS project studies the interaction between urban systems and high impact weather using the Chicago region as a testbed. The CROCUS team conducts novel observational science and creates highly accurate earth system models. This information will lead to new insights at the intersection between weather and urban systems and will inform actions for building resilience at the street, neighborhood, and regional levels
