QVHighlights (Query-based Video Highlights)

The Query-based Video Highlights (QVHighlights) dataset is a benchmark dataset dedicated to detecting custom moments and highlights from videos paired with given natural language (NL) queries. It contains over 10,000 YouTube videos covering a wide range of topics, spanning from daily activities and travel content in lifestyle vlog videos to social and political events in news videos. Each video in the dataset is annotated with three pieces of information: (1) free-form natural language queries manually written by human annotators, (2) relevant moments in the video w.r.t. the corresponding queries, and (3) five-point scale significance scores for all query-related clips.
