CHIRPS (Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data) 是一个35年以上的准全球降雨数据集，覆盖范围从1981年至今，纬度范围50°S-50°N。该数据库结合了内部气候学数据、0.05°分辨率的卫星影像和地面站点数据，创建网格化降雨时间序列，用于趋势分析和季节性干旱监测。CHIRPS由美国地质调查局(USGS)和气候危害中心(CHC)科学家合作开发，得到FEWS NET、NASA和NOAA的资金支持。
CHIRPS (Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data) is a quasi-global rainfall dataset with over 35 years of data, covering the period from 1981 to the present, with a latitudinal range of 50°S to 50°N. This database combines in-house climatological data, 0.05° resolution satellite imagery and ground station data to create gridded rainfall time series for trend analysis and seasonal drought monitoring. CHIRPS was developed collaboratively by scientists from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the Climate Hazards Center (CHC), with funding support from FEWS NET, NASA and NOAA.
