EXOME SEQUENCING OF CRC-DERIVED CELLS FROM HUMAN SALIVARY GLAND NEOPLASMS

Restricted availability of cell and animal models is a rate-limiting step for investigation of salivary gland neoplasm pathophysiology and therapeutic response. Conditionally reprogrammed cell (CRC) technology enables establishment of primary epithelial cell cultures from patient material. This study tested the reproducibility of exome sequence information obtained from independently derived CRC cultures isolated from two different areas of the same biological human tissue samples. Samples tested were surgical specimens of mucoepidermoid carcinoma (1), pleomorphic adenoma (2) and fine needle aspirates from carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma (1).
