The Gas Light Company was incorporated under a private act of the New South Wales Parliament in 1837 and received royal assent in 1839; gas lighting for Sydney commenced in 1841. These documents relate to the conveyance and mortgage of premises and land, and lease and release of land in Kent and Jenkin Streets, Darling Harbour, to the Trustees of the Gas Light Company of Sydney.(4/10595.2). 1 box (part).
