Pulp for paper production in the United States 1961-2022

The United States produced 46.66 million metric tons of pulp for paper in 2022. Between 1961 and 1994, pulp for paper production increased threefold to a peak of nearly 65 million metric tons. Since then, the production volume has been in decline, reaching a low of some 48 million metric tons in 2013.
