Brazil governments fact-check and X-ray: hash-chained public data to check a viral infographic and compare what it omits

Correction release. Version 1.0.0 stated that the Central Bank had no official 2026 value of net external debt (BCB SGS 3685 is still published: +US$ 5.08 bn in Jun/2026, the first positive since Sep/2007) and that the headline computed 'gross minus reserves'. Both statements are corrected here, with the series in the hash chain, a new terminal indicator, tests and the methodology in five languages. Also new: literature round 11 (amendment 12; central bank independence, fiscal rules, press freedom, judicial independence), V-Dem press and expression freedom as a context series that does not score (amendment 13), the index-by-area figure, and the texts of the 13 dated amendments.
