Drawing on the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA) within Critical Discourse Analysis, the study analyzes a corpus of 30 Vietnamese-language news articles drawn from official and semi-official outlets. Using Reisigl and Wodak’s (2001, 2009, 2017) five discursive strategies (nomination, predication, argumentation, perspectivization, and intensification/mitigation), the analysis traces changing patterns in how minority languages, speakers, and preservation efforts are framed.
