AH-DB collects apo and holo structure pairs of proteins. Various protein functions have ben shown directly associated with conformational transitions triggered by binding other molecules. Tertiary structures determined in the unbound and bound state are usually named apo and holo structures, respectively.
AH-DB 收录了蛋白质的未结合态（apo）与结合态（holo）结构对。已有研究证实，诸多蛋白质功能与结合其他分子所引发的构象转变直接相关。通常将未结合状态与结合状态下测定的蛋白质三级结构分别命名为apo结构与holo结构。
