Ascension Island StrathE2E Implementation files
收藏资源简介:
Model implementation files for the Ascension Island Marine Protected Area, for use with the StrathE2E R package (for package details, see Heath et al., 2021, Methods in Ecology and Evolution, doi:10.1111/2041-210X.13510). This configuration was developed with StrathE2E version 4.0.1 and supports decadal simulations from a historical baseline (2010–2019) through to future projections covering the 2060s. Parameterization was based on outputs from a coupled physical-biogeochemical model (NEMO-ERSEM), driven by two Earth system models (GFDL-ESM4 and CNRM-CM6-1-HR) and two Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP1-2.6 and SSP3-7.0). This enables scenario-based projections of ecosystem dynamics under different climate futures. A detailed implementation document accompanies the model files, describing the parameterization approach and data sources used for model calibration across both baseline and future periods. This repository will be made publicly available upon acceptance of the manuscript: Olher et al. (2026), “Climate-driven reductions in nutrient supply propagate through the Ascension Island Marine Protected Area ecosystem” submitted to the ICES Journal of Marine Science (themed section "Assessing the impacts of climate change and fishing on marine ecosystems and resources using the StrathE2E end-to-end model"). This implementation was developed under the EU H2020 Mission Atlantic project (grant agreement no. 862428).
