资源简介:
This dataset contains the results of field surveys conducted in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea between April and November of 2022 and 2023. Sampling was carried out once a month to document dung beetle seasonal activity and diversity. Specimens were collected using pitfall traps baited with boar, cattle, and leopard cat dung. The traps were deployed for three consecutive days before retrieval. Four land-use types were surveyed, including deciduous forests, coniferous forests, agricultural fields, and built environments. This was to capture the variation in species composition and diversity across the habitats. The dataset provides occurrence and abundance records that can be used to study seasonal dynamics and the influence of environmental conditions on dung beetle assemblages in temperate ecosystems.
