Side-scan Sonar Dataset of Area A1, Hainan Island. This dataset spans the period from 2007 to 2008, covering the sea area deeper than 5 meters near Sanya, Hainan Island, with a total coverage area of 775.37 square kilometers, total survey line length of 938.88 kilometers, and a map scale of 1:50000. The dataset is divided into two survey cruises: the first cruise in 2007 and the second cruise in 2008. The side-scan sonar data from the 2007 cruise was acquired using the EdgeTech 2000C integrated side-scan and sub-bottom profiling system, with survey parameters tailored to on-site survey conditions; the side-scan sonar data from the 2008 cruise was acquired using the EdgeTech 4100P shallow-water side-scan sonar, with its survey parameters also determined based on on-site specific survey conditions.
