IBS colon epithelium transcriptome from water avoidance stressed floxed and intestinal GR knock out BALB/c mice

Glucocorticoids (GCs) are major hormone signals shared by stress and circadian; GCs dysregulation by stress leads to circadian misalignment and the impaired gut-brain axis, causing IBS. GR maintains intestinal epithelium homeostasis and barrier function via transcriptional regulation of the target genes. We profiled floxed and intestinal GR knock-out BALB/c mice colon epithelium transcriptome in response to water avoidance stress. Multiple differentially expressed genes (DEGs) relevant to circadian and IBS were detected.
