Biotechnology for thermophilic composting: Using machine learning to predict the bacterial families in finished compost

This study analysed 16S rRNA data from four batches of compost generated from agricultural waste feedstocks from poultry farming. Three batches were inoculated with commercially available microbial solutions to accelerate thermophilic aerated composting within a biodigester and the operational taxanomic unit (OTU) dataset was generated from the substrates.
