This study aimed to characterize the bacterial community structure of four geothermal springs located in northeastern Mexico using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The primary objective was to evaluate the microbial diversity present in these naturally restored thermal water ecosystems and explore their potential relevance for environmental biotechnology and water quality monitoring. By comparing microbial composition across sites with different physicochemical profiles, this study provides foundational insight into the ecological roles and adaptive traits of thermophilic bacterial communities. The data generated contribute to the global understanding of microbiomes in geothermal environments and support future applications in bioremediation, restoration ecology, and conservation of microbial biodiversity.
