The transcriptome of C2C12 myoblasts, myotubes, and reserve cells were assessed by mRNA-sequencing. Our data reveals the difference in the transcriptional profiles of three different types of muscle cells. C2C12 myoblasts were harvested at ~95% confluency. After 7 days of myogenic differentiation in low serum medium, C2C12 myotubes and reserve cells were seperated by mild trypsinization. mRNA-sequencing was performed in paired-end 150 base pair mode on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform. Paired-end fragments were mapped to mm10, filtered, and assembled into transcripts using HISAT2 , SAMtools , and StringTie . Differential expression was evaluated using DESeq2. Two biological replicates per sample.
