Healthcare policies by Brazilian States during the Covid-19 pandemic

This dataset provides a comprehensive overview of the healthcare policies implemented by state governments in Brazil during the progression of the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve this, we analyzed the regulatory frameworks of healthcare policies developed by the 27 Brazilian states from February 2020 to October 2021, covering the first three waves of Covid-19 in the country. As a result, an original dataset of Subnational Regulation was created, encompassing over 4,000 norms related to Covid-19. This database seeks to contribute to the understanding of state responses to the pandemic, taking into account the federalist context and the autonomy of local authorities.
