The HR-Extreme dataset is a high-resolution extreme weather prediction dataset co-developed by institutions such as the University of Manchester and Hunan University, among others. Based on NOAA's HRRR data, this dataset encompasses 17 categories of extreme weather, including strong winds, heavy rainfall, hail, tornadoes, extreme temperatures, and more. The development process of the HR-Extreme dataset involves collecting data from NOAA's Storm Events Database and Storm Prediction Center, as well as conducting clustering processing using the DBSCAN algorithm. The HR-Extreme dataset aims to improve the accuracy of extreme weather prediction, particularly for disaster preparedness and response work.
