Fante /Baule People Fertility Doll Figure

These fertility dolls can be found with either the Fante people of Southern Ghana ad the Baule people of Southeastern Cote D'Ivoire. Carved wood with rich light brown washed patina of a doll in simple form of oval head with lined coiffure with semi-circular motif at hairline, almond-shaped eyes with white kaolin, cheek scarification, small mouth with corner scarification, ringed neck with kaolin and simple undefined body.
