Data from "Validating the user-operated audible contrast threshold test as a language independent proxy of speech-in-noise perception"
收藏资源简介:
While automated auditory sensitivity tests exist, a counterpart for supra-threshold hearing-in-noise abilities is needed. The user-operated audible contrast threshold (U-ACT) is presented here and compared to the audiologist-operated Audible Contrast Threshold (ACT) test and aided speech-in-noise perception, measured using the Danish Hearing in Noise Test (HINT) in an ecologically valid setting. U-ACT demonstrated excellent agreement with the manual ACT test, confirming its viability as an automated alternative. Furthermore, U-ACT showed a strong correlation with aided speech-in-noise perception, similar to the ACT’s correlation. U-ACT is a valid, reliable user-operated proxy for speech-in-noise perception, capable of enhancing audiology clinic efficiency.
