Year, month and day of: Initial ice retreat from winter maximum; Final rapid ice retreat to minimum extent for the season; Ice reaching a general minimum in the entire McMurdo Sound; Ice reaching a minimum on the West side of the sound; Ice reaching a minimum on the West side of the sound; Ice beginning to refreeze. Note that blanks mean that the phenomenon was not observed that season, sometimes because it did not occur, and sometimes because the visual imagery was only collected during daylit months.
