资源简介:

The Enquiring About Tolerance (EAT) study is a randomized controlled trial designed to determine whether early dietary introduction of allergenic foods from three months of age in exclusively breastfed infants induces immune tolerance and prevents food allergies. Conducted in the general population in the UK, the study compares the early introduction of six allergenic foods (cow's milk, egg, peanut, sesame, fish, and wheat) to standard UK infant recommendations of exclusive breastfeeding until approximately six months. Infants are followed until three years of age to assess the period prevalence of IgE-mediated food allergies, as well as other allergic outcomes, including eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and sensitization.
