Complete genomes of Archangium and Cystobacter species

The aim of this project is to identify genes potentially involved in fruiting body development in Archangium and Cystobacter species. Fruiting bodies of different myxobacterial species are diverse in morphology, but less is known about the underlying genetic programs and how they diverge across species. In this project, we sequenced, assembled and completed genomes of one Archangium and four Cystobacter species in order to understand the makeups of developmental genes in these species.
