资源简介:
Data set from the experimental measurements of a granular flow impacting water and creating a wave
The data set includes:
Raw control parameters of the experiments : inclination $\theta$, door height opening $h_0$ and chute length $L$
Dry impact characteristics of the granular flow : mass flow rate $q_m$ and thickness $h_s$ at the position of the shoreline
Dimensional characteristics of the wave and of the slide deposit: wave maximum amplitude $a_{max}$, time of maximum amplitude $t_{max}$, slide deposit center of mass position $x_g(t_{end})$ and slide deposit front position $x_f(t_{end})$
Characteristics of the granular flow dynamics: horizontal velocity of the granular flow front at early stage $U_f$, granular flow front velocity prior impact with water $U_i$ and the effective immersed volume flow rate $q_{eff}$
Effective immersed slide volume at the time of maximum amplitude $V_{eff}(t_{max})$
All the experiments have been performed at constant water depth $H_0=20$cm.
Three characteristic videos of the experiments have been added, where the run speed is 1/5 of reality. video1 is for ($h_0=2$ cm, $\theta=20$° and $L=1.16$ m), video2 is for ($h_0=6$ cm, $\theta=25$° and $L=1.72$ m) and video3 is for ($h_0=10$ cm, $\theta=32.5$° and $L=2.20$ m). These three cases have been chosen to represent the largest set of parameter explored, i.e from the less energetic case to the most energetic one.
