<b>Video Supplementary of First aerial predation record of </b><b><i>Vespula germanica</i></b><b> (</b><b><i>Hymenoptera: Vespidae</i></b><b>) on the endemic moth </b><b><i>Neorumia lutea</i></b><b> (</b><b><i>Lepidoptera: Geometridae</i></b><b>) in central-southern Chile</b>

The first case of aerial predation by <i>Vespula germanica</i> (Fabricius, 1793) on <i>Neorumia lutea</i> (Bartlett-Calvert, 1893) in Chile is documented. A worker of <i>V. germanica</i> was observed attacking an adult <i>N. lutea</i> in flight, removing its wings before consuming its body. This behavior had not been previously reported in Chile or other invaded regions. The recorded interaction suggests a foraging strategy with potential implications for the trophic structure of ecosystems.
