Enhanced pretreatment methodologies and ingredient optimization for the vermicomposting of food waste

This study comprehensively examined the preferences of earthworms towards various types of organic waste and outlined an optimal raw material ratio scheme of vermicomposting for food waste. The analysis revealed the superior quality and plant cultivation benefits of vermicompost products. Furthermore, our research successfully transformed food waste into high-quality organic fertilizer, fostering plant growth and development. This accomplishment not only enhances the recycling of organic waste but also promotes ecological value, thereby contributing to the advancement of circular economy and ecological agriculture.
