This study was undertaken to discern the transmission characteristics of mcr-1, TEM-176 and blaCTX-M-14 in one multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli from broiler in China. The genetic profiles of the isolate were determined by conjugation and whole genome sequencing analysis. Meanwhile, co-transfer of plasmids in the isolate was screened by dual conjugation assays. The isolate harbored 2 conjugative plasmids, pFJEC012-1 (blaCTX-M-14 and mcr-1-bearing IncHI2), pFJEC012-5 (TEM-176-carrying IncX1).
