Raw sequencing reads for "Contrasting alpha, beta, and gamma diversity in the littoral zones of mountain lakes: effects of habitat size and within-lake community structuring on bacterial biogeography"

Raw Illumina sequencing reads (MiSeq 500) of the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene (515Fx806R). This data was used for characterizing within- and across-lake bacterioplankton community composition and diversity across ten mountain lakes in the Sierra Nevada, California, ranging from 0.92 to 71.72 hectares. The files are supporting information for our manuscript titled: "Contrasting alpha, beta, and gamma diversity in the littoral zones of mountain lakes: effects of habitat size and within-lake community structuring on bacterial biogeography".
