NWS Ocean Model Data

Hydrodynamic modelling of oceanographic processes on the Australian North West Shelf. I use numerical codes that solve the Navier-Stokes for fluid flow to model physical oceanographic processes, such as tides and internal gravity waves. The models discretise the ocean into finite cells where ocean state variables (velocity, temperature, pressure) are stored at different time intervals. Model output is used for engineering design of offshore structures, characterisation of ocean properties, and to drive pollution transport models for environmental applications.
