Fill from three shallow stain features at the Monte Sereno Site, LA 79934, in Santa Fe,
New Mexico, were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site consists of a ceramic
sherd and lithic scatter on a ridge top. Features from this site yielded radiocarbon ages in the
1400s, indicating a Pueblo IV occupation. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to
provide information concerning prehistoric plant gathering and processing activities at the site,
as well as to assist in determining past environmental conditions and land-use practices.
