83A25 antibody is directed against endogenous murine leukaemia virus envelope surface unit (MLV env SU). We have human Jurkat.Emv2env cells transduced to express an endogenous Emv2 envelope protein (ecotropic MLV envelope) that 83A25 antibody will recognise. Our previous data suggests that upon antibody binding, 83A25 antibody/MLV env SU complexes are internalised and phenotypic changes occur within the cell. The aim of the project is to determine whether binding of 83A25 monoclonal antibody to the surface of Jurkat.Emv2env cells induces changes in gene expression.
