O139 serogroup of Vibrio cholerae appeared in early 1990s and then disappeared by 2006. While it wa circulating, it dominated the surveillance charts but its sudden extinction surprised everyone. This study will look at the genomic changes that led to its success and decline over time. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
