This article develops the analytical concept of the dronization of crime as a vector of violence with the aim of explaining how the incorporation of drone technologies is transforming the contemporary dynamics of organized violence in Colombia. The research argues that drones do not generate new conflicts, but rather reconfigure pre-existing violent ecosystems by expanding operational reach, reducing direct exposure of perpetrators, and accelerating technological innovation processes in asymmetric contexts. Methodologically, the study employs a mixed design based on qualitative and quantitative content analysis of national and international media coverage, examining patterns of territorial concentration, discursive frameworks, attribution of actors, and representations of impact associated with the use of drones. The findings reveal a spatial concentration of the phenomenon in regions historically affected by illicit economies and armed disputes, along with the consolidation of a securitizing narrative focused on lethality and existential threat. Likewise, it demonstrates that media discourse contributes to the construction of drones as objects of security, legitimizing exceptional state responses and reinforcing social perceptions of technological escalation of violence. The study concludes that dronization operates simultaneously in territorial, operational, and discursive dimensions, redefining the contemporary architecture of security in Colombia and contributing theoretically to studies of security, armed conflict, and technological diffusion in non-state violence.
