PHIDU - Admissions - By Procedures (PHN) 2014-2015

This dataset, released December 2017, contains data relating to hospital admissions during 2014-2015 by the following procedures: tonsilectomy, myringotomy (ages 0-9), hysterectomy (ages 30-59), Caesarean section (ages 15-44), delivery birth (ages 15-44), coronary artery bypass graft, coronary angioplasty, cardiac catheterisation, hip fracture, knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and colonoscopy. The data is by Primary Health Network (PHN) 2017 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).\n\nThere are 31 PHNs set up by the Australian Government. Each network is controlled by a board of medical professionals and advised by a clinical council and community advisory committee.
