MCPIP1 modulates the miRNA-mRNA landscape in keratinocyte carcinomas

The aim of this study was to investigate the MCPIP1 RNase-dependent miRNA-mRNA regulatory network in the chemically induced squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) - like skin papillomas. mRNA-seq and small RNA-seq coupled with bioinformatics analysis was used to shortlist MCPIP1-dependent regulated protein coding genes and miRNAs. Bioinformatic analyses indicated which pathways/processes mediated by the miRNA-mRNA MCPIP1-dependent network are important for the development of cutaneous SCC.
