Lost and Found Office Register - City of Przemyśl

<p>The basis for the functioning of the Lost Property Office is the Found Property Act of February 20, 2015. (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 397) and the Civil Code (Articles 187 and 189).</p>

<p>Items of value are accepted to the Lost & Found Office, except for:</p>

<p>items found in public buildings or other buildings and rooms open to the public, as well as in means of public transport - the finder is then obliged to hand over to the manager of the building or room or the manager of the public transport,<br>
identity cards - the found document should be handed over to the nearest commune authority,<br>
passports - the document should be handed over to the nearest passport authority, Police or other public administration body,<br>
military equipment and equipment as well as military documents, weapons, ammunition, explosives, radio and research equipment - the finder is obliged to return the items (or report the finding in the case of hazardous materials) at the nearest police station.<br>
People returning the found items to the office fill in a short form, which confirms the receipt of the found item.</p>

<p>People who find lost items on the list can pick them up provided that their appearance is precisely defined,<br>
presentation of the circumstances in which the item has been lost and the features proving that the item is their property.<br>
It is also required to present an ID card or a document confirming the identity of the owner of the lost property.</p>
