资源简介:
Bulk-embedded voids that form and grow during plastic deformation are key precursors to ductile failure in metals. Yet predicting their nucleation, growth, and coalescence remains difficult due to the complex interplay of multiple deformation mechanisms. A critical barrier is the lack of experimental data that simultaneously captures void morphology, strain, and crystallographic orientation across multiple length scales under evolving boundary conditions. We address this gap by exploiting recent advances at the ESRF ID11 Scanning 3D X-ray Diffraction Microscope (S3DXRD) to directly correlate the evolution of embedded voids with the surrounding three-dimensional intra- and inter-grain strain and orientation fields.
