Laboratory investigation of anchor ice evolution under steady and varied heat flux conditions

Time lapse videos of two anchor ice events, the first experiment of Case 2 (C2-1) and the second experiment of Case 10 (C10-2), are provided; Anchor ice experiments were conducted in a frazil ice tank at the University of Alberta's cold room facility; Each experiment included nine hours of supercooling period; Experiment C2-1 was conducted under a steady heat flux condition with the cold room air temperature kept at –10 °C; Experiment C10-2 was conducted under a varied heat flux condition where the cold room air temperature was kept at –5 °C and the wind speed increased during the experiment; Images of anchor ice evolution on an artificial substrate were captured using a high-resolution camera every 2 minutes.
