ARC Freight Dashboard (Developed for 2024 ARFMP)

<p>The ARC Freight Dashboard serves as a tool to help explain how and where freight moves. This dashboard consolidates data collected for the <a target='_blank' href='https://atlantaregional.org/what-we-do/transportation-planning/freight-transportation/2024-atlanta-regional-freight-mobility-plan/' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'><i>2024 Atlanta Regional Freight Mobility Plan</i> (<i>2024 ARFMP</i>)</a>. It was developed by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC).</p><p>The ARC Freight Dashboard contains the following layers and tables.&nbsp;</p><h4><u>Display Layers</u></h4><ul><li><strong>Freight Clusters:</strong> Designated by the Atlanta Regional Commission for the 2024 ARFMP, these clusters identify key freight areas within the region.</li><li><strong>National Highway Freight Network:</strong> Federally designated highways crucial for freight movement, including PHFS, other Interstates, critical rural/urban corridors, and connectors.</li><li><strong>Regional Truck Routes:</strong> ARC-designated roadways that facilitate efficient freight movement while balancing mobility, safety, and community impact.</li><li><strong>Truck Parking:</strong> Public and private parking facilities for multi-hour or multi-day truck parking, including rest areas, weigh stations, truck stops, gas stations, and industrial storage.</li><li><strong>Georgia Mask:</strong> A polygon masking areas outside Georgia to focus dashboard data on the Atlanta region.</li><li><strong>Rail Yards:</strong> Locations of rail yards in the Atlanta region, categorized by type (i.e., auto, bulk, transload, intermodal, station/classification).</li><li><strong>Railroads:</strong> Polylines showing railroads in the Atlanta region.</li><li><strong>Atlanta Airport:</strong> Location of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.</li><li><strong>Environmental Justice Score:</strong> Equity analysis model (formerly Equitable Target Areas) assessing racial/ethnic minority and low-income status to identify potential inequalities.</li><li><strong>Asthma Rates:</strong> Percentage of adults (18+) with asthma, sourced from the U.S. Council on Environmental Quality's CEJST tool.</li></ul><p><br />&nbsp;</p><h4><u>Download Tables</u></h4><ul><li><a target='_blank' href='https://freightdashboard.atlantaregional.org/#' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Top Commodities</a>: Data on top commodities by county (from S&amp;P Global Transearch, 2019) as reported in the <i>2024 Atlanta Regional Freight Mobility Plan</i>.</li><li><a target='_blank' href='https://freightdashboard.atlantaregional.org/#' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Trading Partners</a>: Data on top trading partners by county as reported in the plan.</li><li><a target='_blank' href='https://freightdashboard.atlantaregional.org/#' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Jobs</a>: Employment by county from ARC's REMI model (2020) as reported in the plan.</li></ul><p><br />&nbsp;</p><p>For additional information, please visit the Atlanta Regional Commission at <a target='_blank' href='https://www.atlantaregional.org' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>www.atlantaregional.org </a>.</p>
