The WQP contains current and historical water data from more than 1.5 million sites across the nation. Considering file size, datasets for each characteristic group are divided into two files based on states and territories listed in alphabetical order: one file contains samples collected in states from Alabama to Iowa, and a second file contains samples collected in states from Kansas to Virgin Island.
