Dataset for the paper: The Fen that Vanished: The Untold Story of Drainage and Peat Extraction in Bagno peatland with Implications for Nature Conservation

This data set includes palaeoecological data from Bagno Chlebowo peatland that were published in the paper: Wochal, D., Marcisz, K., Barabach, J., Bąk, M., Lamentowicz, M. 2025. The Fen that Vanished: The Untold Story of Drainage and Peat Extraction in Bagno peatland with Implications for Nature Conservation. The study was funded by Excellence Initiative - Research University, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań (grant 034/34/UAM/0027) and the National Science Centre, Poland (grants 2020/39/D/ST10/00641 and 2023/07/X/ST10/00536). The data set includes several proxies: - 14C dates and peat accumulation rates, - Testate amoebae and depth to water table reconstruction, - Plant macrofossils.
