资源简介:
This study focused on individuals’ intentions to have a second child; therefore, the target participants were married couples with one child. Data from the 2022 wave of the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) were cleaned accordingly. The cleaning process proceeded as follows: First, 2,569 couples were identified by matching wives’ personal identification codes with their husbands’ spouse identification codes. Based on these matched data, we subsequently excluded 1,663 couples who had no children or more than one child (i.e., number of children > 1). We further removed 20 cases with missing data on key variables, including social trust and second-child fertility intention. The final analytic sample consisted of 886 couples (1,772 individuals), with an average age of 37.02 years (range = 20–49, SD = 6.67).
