Individual data set from the programme of pesticide residues in foodstuffs (PSMR) from the reporting year 2021

The individual data form the basis for the National Report on Plant Protection Residues in Food 2021, which summarises the results of studies for pesticide residues carried out in Germany in 2021 on foods of plant and animal origin, including infant and young children’s formula. The reporting shall also include the results of the multiannual coordinated control programme of the Union, based on Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, which serves to verify compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food of plant and animal origin and to assess consumer exposure to pesticide residues via food. The food and active substances to be examined under this programme in 2021 were announced in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 of 27 April 2020. All data on products with a sampling period from 1 January to 31 January were collected. In December 2021, the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) was notified to the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) by the inspection facilities of the official food and veterinary surveillance of the 16 Länder and by the Federal Ministry of Defence.
