Transcriptome analysis of Btr1-A transgenic wheat and control plants

To understand the mechanism underlying spike brittleness, we compared the transcriptome of the rachis node zone in transgenic wheat plants and non-transgenic control plants at flowering stage. A total of 1032 and 1939 genes were found to be up-regulated and down-regulated four-fold (FDR adjusted P < 0.005), respectively, in the transgenic plants compared with the control.
