An Open Data Contribution on Nudibranchs from the South-East Pelion Coastline

This dataset represents an open data contribution on nudibranchs recorded along the coastline of South-East Pelion, Greece, covering the period from 2018 to 2025. Observations were collected through a combination of in-situ surveys, opportunistic sightings, and photographic records, with a focus on documenting occurrence and distribution patterns of these diverse and ecologically significant marine gastropods.The dataset includes species-level identifications where possible, along with associated metadata such as date, location, and more observation details. It aims to provide a baseline reference for the presence of nudibranch species in the region, supporting future research on biodiversity, ecology, and conservation in the Aegean Sea.By making these records openly available, this contribution seeks to encourage the use of the data by researchers, conservationists, educators, and citizen scientists, as well as to raise awareness of the hidden diversity of nudibranchs in the Mediterranean.
